Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it last?
Normally a treatment lasts about an hour though you should allow an hour and a quarter for the first treatment. Some treatments may be shorter - it depends on the symptoms present as to what type of treatment is offered.
How many treatments will I need?
This depends on how long you have had your condition, and your rate of healing.
Will I experience any discomfort?
Firm pressure will be applied to the feet during the Reflexology treatment. Some people experience sensations or twinges, and possibly a feeling of grittiness or lumpiness in certain reflex points. The treatment will be tailored to the individual and lighter pressure will be used in sensitive areas.
How will I feel after the Reflexology treatment?
After receiving reflexology recipients generally feel alert, rejuvenated and refreshed and at the same time relaxed and at ease. The feet tingle delightfully and the step is lighter. With tension release, lively circulation within the relaxed blood vessels distributes nutrients and vital life-forces throughout, whilst converting more toxic, wasteful substances for easy elimination and detoxification.
Who should NOT have Reflexology?
Anyone with Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) or a contagious illness should not have a Reflexology treatment.
